Senior Functional Analyst (Credit Risk & API) | Permanent or Freelance Position overview Within the Risk Regulatory domain of one of our client, Digitribe is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst - Credit Risk & APIs to join a strategic program aimed at modernizing the Credit Risk platform used for the calculation, industrialization and monitoring of risk indicators such as PD (Probability of Default) and LGD (Loss Given Default). The platform is being built on modern technologies including Azure Cloud, Java, REST APIs, business orchestration solutions and enterprise data models. You will work closely with Business Stakeholders, Solution Designers, Architects, Developers and Product Teams to translate complex regulatory and risk requirements into scalable solutions. Key responsibilities Gather, analyse and challenge business requirements from stakeholders Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria Define functional flows, data models and API interactions Contribute to logical and physical data modelling activities Support development teams during implementation and ensure smooth transition of solutions into production Define and execute functional test scenarios, coordinate business testing activities and investigate defects Participate in solution design discussions with architects and developers Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and actively participate in ceremonies Skills & qualifications Functional analysis 7+ years of experience as Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or Technical Analyst Strong experience gathering and formalizing business requirements Ability to challenge requirements and propose pragmatic, value-driven solutions Experience writing detailed functional specifications and user stories Data & modelling Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with large data environments Experience with data modelling (CDM, LDM, UML, relational databases) Understanding of data flows and integration patterns API & integration Experience working with REST APIs and knowledge of API design principles Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications and service-oriented architectures Understanding of integration patterns and distributed systems Agile delivery Strong Agile/Scrum experience and ability to work closely with developers and architects Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira or equivalent tooling Nice-to-have Experience in Credit Risk, Risk Regulation or Regulatory Reporting Knowledge of banking domains such as Loans, Credit Risk or Referential Data Experience with Azure Cloud environments Knowledge of BPMN or workflow orchestration tools Experience with CA API Management or API GateWay solutions Understanding of data Virtualisation concepts Our offer We provide a stimulating, people‑focused and expertise‑driven environment A competitive salary with performance‑based bonuses A company car with Fuel/Electric Card All necessary tools for your mission: Laptop, Phone, Phone Subscription Comprehensive social security and health benefits in Belgium Meal Vouchers, Eco cheques Hospitalization Insurance & Group Insurance (Retirement) Opportunities for professional training and certifications Clear Career plan and growth opportunities created together with Manager Exciting assignments with clients engaged in innovative IT projects
