Cloud Project Manager


Functie

Role Description and Key Responsibilities


The role-holder will:
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, identifying dependencies, key milestones, and necessary resources to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate the activities of internal teams and external partners involved in the project, ensuring smooth and effective communication throughout the process.
  • Manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation plans and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure that the cloud solution meets the operational needs of the product and allows for maximum scalability and flexibility.
  • Evaluate project performance through key metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and recommending strategic adjustments if necessary.
  • Provide inspiring and motivating leadership to the project team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Monitor and manage the consumption of project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within allocated limits and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Establish and facilitate various oversight committees based on decision-making levels, ensuring effective communication and alignment of project objectives with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical lead to ensure the technical feasibility and integrity of the cloud solution, incorporating feedback and addressing technical challenges as they arise.
  • Work in tandem with the sales lead to understand customer requirements and market demands, ensuring that the cloud solution meets customer needs and supports business growth objectives.
  • Identify talent needs and participate in the recruitment process as necessary to grow the project team, ensuring the acquisition of skilled professionals to support project objectives.
  • Contribute to the drafting of contracts, procedures, and other project-related documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and alignment with project goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects,
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Good knowledge of cloud principles and technologies (platforms such as IBM, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, motivate team members, and foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to understand and address end-user needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, project management, a related field (an asset).
  • Project management certification would be a plus (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or cloud certification (e.g., IBM, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).

Communication

  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Good communication skills written and oral
