The Mission
We are partnering with a specialist software consultancy to deploy a Senior Front End Engineer into one of Europe’s most critical aviation safety institutions.
This end-client is an intergovernmental organization responsible for the safety and management of air navigation across the entire European continent. They operate in a high-security, environment where precision and reliability are paramount. You will be building mission-critical systems that directly support critical aviation functions.
The Challenge
This is not a standard CRUD application role. You will be working on complex, data-heavy interfaces that manage flight safety protocols. The team is currently modernizing their architecture, moving towards Microfrontends to break down large-scale legacy applications into manageable, high-performance pieces.
The Tech Stack
- Core: TypeScript, React, React Query.
- Architecture: Microfrontends (hands-on implementation experience is essential).
- Build & Tooling: Expert-level Vite (for rapid build times) and Webpack.
- UI/Design: Ant Design (AntD), Storybook (Component-driven development).
- Forms: React Hook Form.
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library.
- Version Control: Git (Bitbucket).
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Microfrontend solutions to decouple complex systems.
- Develop robust, type-safe code using TypeScript and React .
- Manage complex state and server synchronization using React Query .
- Build complex, validated forms for safety-critical data using React Hook Form .
- Optimize development workflows by leveraging Vite for fast bundling.
- Enforce high code quality standards via ESLint and static analysis tools.
- Drive front-end performance optimization (Lazy loading, caching, code splitting).
Requirements
- 10+ Years of Commercial Experience: This is a hard requirement. We are looking for veteran engineers who have seen the evolution of the web and can navigate highly regulated environments.
- On-site Availability: You must be willing and able to work 3 days per week at the headquarters in Brussels.
- English Fluency: Excellent command of English is required for technical documentation and safety protocols.
Why Apply?
- Impact: Your code contributes to the safety of millions of passengers across Europe.
- Modern Tech: Rare opportunity to use Vite, React Query, and Microfrontends within a massive enterprise environment.
- Stability: A long-term contract (12 months+) with a prestigious institutional client.
