Freelance Project Manager/Construction Manager| Substation with BESS Projects
We're partnering with a leading EPC contractor on a crucial substation and battery energy storage system project in Belgium. This initiative is a key part of the region's renewable energy strategy, aimed at boosting grid reliability and sustainability and modernising substations, as well as accelerating the energy transition. We're seeking multiple positions - an experienced and ambitious Project Manager and/or Construction Manager to lead delivery and commissioning at the site.
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: March 2026
Language: English (essential)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and ensure smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle
Supervising high quality work from start to finish
Essential:
Proven experience managing substation/BESS facilities and/or large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management
Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work in English
EU Passport
