Data Migration Specialist

I'm currently looking for an experienced Azure Migration Specialist to support a major data centre transformation project for a leading pharmaceutical company based in Ghent.

This is a freelance opportunity for 12 months, ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and has a proven track record of on-prem to Azure cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the migration of on-prem infrastructure to Microsoft Azure in a regulated, enterprise-scale environment.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure a smooth and compliant transition.
• Design and implement migration strategies with minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure documentation, governance, and best practices are adhered to in line with pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise throughout the migration lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and related tooling.
• Solid background in Windows/Linux server environments, networking, and storage systems.
• Familiarity with regulated environments.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, change management, and risk mitigation.
• Fluent in English & Dutch.

Location:

• Hybrid role, with 2–3 days per week on-site in Ghent
