Business Analyst - Young Talent Program | Brussels

Are you a recent graduate or young professional (with up to 18 months of experience) looking to launch your career as a Business Analyst at the crossroads of IT, Risk and Banking, and ready to start immediately?

We are currently seeking a motivated junior profile to join upcoming client engagements in Brussels as soon as possible. You'll join a learning journey that combines concrete client experience with continuous support and training, all in line with the values that define escent.

About the Program :

You will start your first mission directly within one of our partner clients, where you'll contribute as a junior business analyst on projects related to IT Risk Management, information security, internal controls and regulatory compliance, primarily in the financial and banking sectors.

As part of a 15 month mentoring and development program, you'll combine hands-on experience with targeted learning and continuous coaching to grow into the role of a business analyst on IT transformation projects.

Once your client assignment has started, you will take part in a 10-day intensive training program to accelerate your learning and strengthen your consulting fundamentals.

Your profile :

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Engineering, Finance, or a related field with strong interest and understanding in IT Risk Management and financial services
• You have just graduated or have a maximum of 18 months experience in roles related to risk analysis, IT audit, compliance, cybersecurity, project coordination, or business analysis
• Alternatively, you may have gained a first experience in an operational or IT role within the financial, banking, or insurance industry
• Understanding and/or strong interest in risk assessment methodologies, control frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, COBIT) and regulatory requirements in the financial industry
• Demonstrated interest in IT governance, digital transformation, and security compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to handle multiple overlapping tasks and work autonomously
• Proactive, intellectually curious, rigorous and eager to learn in a structured environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and collaborate across departments
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of IT risk assessment processes (IT risk scenarios preparation and testing, IT risk identification and assessment, mitigation, IT risk procedures elaboration and implementation), vulnerability management, phishing campaigns or identity and access management is considered a strong plus
• Experience or academic exposure to scripting/coding or programming languages (e.g., Java,Python, JavaScript) is a plus
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar is an advantage
• Fluent in English and French (knowledge of Dutch is a plus)
