Dedicated Support Specialist for Young Learners

The European Schools are an intergovernmental organization offering multilingual and multicultural education. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young students with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide individualized support to students. A key aspect of this role is assisting students with learning disabilities, which requires patience, understanding, and creativity. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues, management, and families.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

• A strong command of Swedish (native level) and excellent knowledge of another European language;
• A diploma for teaching in the primary cycle and a specific degree for supporting children with special needs;
• Experience working with students who have learning disabilities;
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• A very good command of another European language.

This fixed-term contract will run from 01/09/2025 to 31/08/2025, with the possibility of extension. The workplace is the European School Brussels II.
