Administrative Security Specialist

This is a part-time, temporary contract for a period of one year with the opportunity to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.

• The position involves Linux server system administration (AlmaLinux, Proxmox, Debian, ...) and utilizing scripting and automation tools (bash, Ansible, Python, ...).
• Maintain and monitor log management systems, handle and respond to security alerts, enforce and support security policies and best practices.
• Perform internal security audits and follow up on findings, report security incidents and support mitigation.

In order to succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or equivalent competences gained through prior work experience.
• Eager to learn, flexible and motivated to work independently and within a team.
• Analytical, able to troubleshoot, with a strong preference to work in a supporting role.
• Proactive and able to work independently and within a team.
• Good oral and written knowledge of English.
• Act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation.
• A passion for open-source software.
• Ethical hacker mindset.
• Experience in academic settings is a plus.
