Strategic Business Data Insights Professional

Business Intelligence Specialist
At our organization, we seek a skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for analyzing business needs and developing robust data solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Create and maintain PowerBI data models to provide relevant insights to the business.
  • Examine source data in the Datawarehouse, identify areas for improvement, and create data quality tickets where necessary.
  • Identify new data sources and make them available in the DataWarehouse/DataLake.
  • Manage requests towards TEC data teams and track issues/resolution status.
  • Consolidate and clean existing datamarts according to guidelines from TEC data teams.
  • Maintain contacts with data architects and the DataWarehouse team to stay up-to-date on latest evolutions in the BI domain.
  • Troubleshoot reported data loads or reconciliation inconsistencies.
  • Ensure adherence to processes, policies, and standards and document work.
  • Work on complex cross-functional use cases, utilizing data in various formats and platforms.
  • Implement tools and frameworks for automating report generation and identifying data quality issues.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments.
  • Knowledge of ICT industry.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (Teradata/Oracle) in a Business Intelligence context.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerBI Modeling & Reporting, including DAX.
  • Database management and data warehousing expertise.
  • Big Data tools proficiency (Python, Spark).
  • Linux/Windows server skills (connection, folder creation, software installation, ODBC connections).
  • Great attention to detail.
