Business Intelligence Specialist At our organization, we seek a skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for analyzing business needs and developing robust data solutions.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Create and maintain PowerBI data models to provide relevant insights to the business.
Examine source data in the Datawarehouse, identify areas for improvement, and create data quality tickets where necessary.
Identify new data sources and make them available in the DataWarehouse/DataLake.
Manage requests towards TEC data teams and track issues/resolution status.
Consolidate and clean existing datamarts according to guidelines from TEC data teams.
Maintain contacts with data architects and the DataWarehouse team to stay up-to-date on latest evolutions in the BI domain.
Troubleshoot reported data loads or reconciliation inconsistencies.
Ensure adherence to processes, policies, and standards and document work.
Work on complex cross-functional use cases, utilizing data in various formats and platforms.
Implement tools and frameworks for automating report generation and identifying data quality issues.
Requirements:
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience/training.
5+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments.
Knowledge of ICT industry.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL (Teradata/Oracle) in a Business Intelligence context.
Strong knowledge of PowerBI Modeling & Reporting, including DAX.
Database management and data warehousing expertise.
Big Data tools proficiency (Python, Spark).
Linux/Windows server skills (connection, folder creation, software installation, ODBC connections).
