Senior Account Executive


As a
Senior Account Executive at Shopware
, you will play a leading role in driving enterprise and upper mid-market growth in
Belgium and the Netherlands
. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle, manage complex deals, and consistently deliver on sales goals.

Beyond closing business, you will act as a driver of market insights and best practices, surfacing ideas and feedback to senior leadership and collaborating across teams to refine our go-to-market approach for these markets. You'll also mentor colleagues and contribute to shaping a high-performance sales culture.

This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership, combines consultative selling with strategic thinking, and wants to play a pivotal role in Shopware's continued expansion.

These are your tasks:

  • Own and achieve defined revenue goals by managing and closing high-value, multi-stakeholder deals across enterprise and mid-market segments.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, guiding prospects from first contact to signed contract with a consultative and solution-driven approach.
  • Surface market insights and customer feedback to senior leadership to influence product, sales, and business strategy.
  • Proactively identify and open new growth opportunities in key industries and verticals.
  • Mentor and support Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives, sharing best practices and contributing to a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Business Development to strengthen Shopware's positioning and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Represent Shopware at events, workshops, and customer meetings, building thought leadership and credibility in the commerce space.

This is what you'll bring to the table:

  • Proven performer: Several years of quota-carrying software/SaaS sales experience with a record of consistently meeting or surpassing targets.
  • Industry expertise: Strong understanding of e-commerce, digital commerce platforms, or related SaaS solutions.
  • Complex deal experience: Skilled at managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles and navigating long decision-making processes.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to surface new opportunities, identify patterns across customers, and bring actionable ideas to leadership.
  • Leadership qualities: Experience mentoring colleagues and contributing to team growth and knowledge-sharing.
  • Languages: Fluent Dutch and English for business communication; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ownership mentality: Entrepreneurial, proactive, and effective in a remote-first environment.
