Business Development


As a Business Development & Origination Associate, you play a key role in expanding Yuso's commercial footprint across Europe. You will help bring new customers on board, develop new markets, and drive commercial opportunities in the fields of Renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) optimization contracts.

You combine strong communication and interpersonal skills with solid analytical capabilities. You understand the evolving energy landscape and enjoy engaging with project developers, investors, corporates, and asset owners to help them navigate commercial opportunities in renewable energy and flexibility markets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach, and engage potential customers for renewable PPAs and BESS optimization services.
  • Develop new markets and segments where Yuso can scale its commercial offering.
  • Conduct market research to track policy developments, pricing trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, from initial outreach to contract negotiation.
  • Prepare commercial offers, including quantitative analyses, revenue projections, and business cases.
  • Present Yuso's commercial and technical solutions to prospects, investors, and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (trading, analytics, legal, and technical teams) to tailor customer propositions.
  • Support the improvement of internal tools and commercial processes to enhance customer engagement and efficiency.
  • Report market intelligence, prospect activity, and commercial insights to management.

You have/are:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Energy, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in the energy sector (renewables, trading, flexibility services, grid operations, or energy market analysis).
  • A strong interest in renewable energy, energy markets, and the energy transition.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into compelling value propositions.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities; comfortable working with data, Excel models, and market information.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong plus.
