Technical Lead / Project Manager Role (Contract / Freelance Opportunity)

A pharmaceutical consultancy is expanding its Life Sciences Automation team and looking for an Automation Project and Technical Lead to lead the new pharmaceutical and Lifesciences Automation Team in their Head Office.

This role suits an experienced Technical Lead with a strong Automation or Electrical Engineering background ready to take ownership of technical delivery and team leadership within GMP manufacturing environments. The candidate must have a background working within a pharmaceutical environment and experience handling multiple complex projects, managing teams and large budgets.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a Technical Lead for the Engineering Office of a large Life Sciences Consultancy
• Lead automation activities including design, implementation, and validation activities
• Experience with Siemens Software platforms
• Manage project scope, timelines, and stakeholder communication
• Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager
• Ensure compliance with GAMP5, Annex 11, and 21 CFR Part 11

What You Bring:

• 8+ years’ experience as leading Engineering Teams in pharma / biotech
• Solid knowledge of Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering platforms - especially Siemens
• Strong leadership or mentoring experience

Requirements:

• Previous Project Management / Team Leader experience
• Fluent in French (English and Dutch is a plus)
• 4 days a week on site in Brussels
• Availability for travel across Belgium as required
