About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Freelance Test Lead to manage testing in signalling design projects related to European Train Control System (ETCS). You'll lead a small Agile team of testers, perform manual/automated tests on Java developments, ensure cybersecurity and standards compliance (ISO 9001, EN 50.128, ISO NIS), and contribute to business goals with a user-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership – Guide an Agile/Scrum team of testers in manual and automated testing.

Testing Execution – Conduct hands-on manual tests, automate with tools like Ranorex, and perform load/performance/pent tests.

Compliance & Documentation – Ensure adherence to quality norms, cybersecurity principles, and standards; dedicate time to thorough documentation.

Collaboration – Work closely with business teams to align on user needs and project objectives.

Tool Management – Administer Jira/Xray for tracking; use Git/Gitlab for version control.

On-Call Support – Available for guard duty as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

10+ years in Agile/Scrum (expert level).

5+ years as Test Lead and in manual testing.

5+ years with Jira (admin)/Xray and Ranorex automation.

Experience with Ready-API/SOAP-UI (basic), LoadRunner (2+ years), HP-ALM/UFT (2+ years), MySQL/Git/Gitlab (2+ years).

ISTQB certified; knowledge of EN 50.128, TDD, pent testing.

Trilingual: French & Dutch (B2), English (C2).

Soft skills: Proactive, user-oriented, clear communicator; aligns with values like benevolence, courage, positivity, reliability.
