The Role

To strengthen our project team, we are looking for a Site Supervisor (Werfleider) with solid experience in civil works and environmental remediation. This person will operate on-site, working closely with the project manager and local teams to ensure efficient execution of remediation projects.

This is a key operational role for someone who can hit the ground running and act as a “plug-and-play” contributor.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations, coordinating contractors and technical teams on remediation sites.
• Maintain close contact with the project manager, client, and subcontractors.
• Follow up on project planning and alignment with technical and logistics departments.
• Ensure safety culture on-site by giving toolbox meetings and complying with all EHSQ policies.
• Manage administrative follow-up (site reports, progress statements, documentation).
• Collaborate with internal and external teams across different project sites.

Required Profile

• Several years of hands-on experience in remediation or civil engineering sites.
• Strong communicator, autonomous, proactive, and practical.
• Holder of a valid VOL-VCA certificate or willing to obtain it within 3 months.
• Experience in landfilling or environmental/civil works is essential.
• Comfortable with flexible schedules (e.g. 6:00 am starts during peak periods).
• Ideally aged 30–35 to integrate well with a dynamic and young team.
• Strong organisational skills and basic knowledge of standard IT tools.
• Based in East/West Flanders or South of Brussels (Gent, Aalst).
• Dutch-speaking; French is a plus.
