We’re looking for an AI / Backend Engineer with a delivery-focused mission. You’ll report directly to the Co-founder & CTO, become the second AI engineer on the team, and take ownership of key customer delivery projects that go live during your mission. This is a role for builders who care about impact, speed, and real-world constraints.

🎯 The Mission

Your goal is simple: ship production-ready AI features that customers rely on daily.

You’ll work closely with the CTO, backend team, and customers to deliver and scale our AI automation layer.

What you’ll deliver:

• Production-grade Python backend services
• LLM-driven workflows (LangGraph) that automate real logistics processes
• Improved OCR pipelines for messy, real-world documents
• Accuracy tracking & evaluation metrics that customers can trust
• Stable, observable pipelines running in production
• AI features that directly reduce manual work for operations teams
• You won’t be experimenting in isolation; you’ll be delivering outcomes that customers pay for.

🧠 Who We’re Looking For

• Have 4+ years of experience in backend engineering
• Are highly proficient in Python
• Are comfortable owning the delivery end-to-end
• Have solid SQL (PostgreSQL) knowledge
• Run production systems using Docker
• Have hands-on experience with LLMs, including:
• Prompt engineering
• Function calling
• Evaluation datasets & accuracy metrics
• Multi-modal inputs (PDFs, images, documents)
• Have experience with or a strong interest in OCR pipelines
• Understand CI/CD and production reliability
• Communicate clearly in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP and/or Azure
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith
• A GitHub portfolio showing real, shipped systems
• Interest in logistics, supply chain, or operational tech

• Location: Hybrid, minimum 2 days/week on-site in Antwerp
