Freelance Senior Project Engineer Offshore – Foundation Installation

We are currently looking for a freelance Senior Project Engineer to join the project team of a major offshore foundation installation campaign. The role is based in Antwerp and requires approximately 70 percent on-site presence, with the remainder flexible or remote.

As Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating all technical aspects of the offshore installation scope. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vessel crews, and subcontractors to ensure safe and timely project delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop method statements, lifting plans, and technical work packages for foundation installation
• Coordinate interfaces across engineering, procurement, and offshore execution
• Prepare equipment specifications, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Support execution phases including vessel mobilization, load-out, and offshore operations
• Ensure full compliance with HSE, quality, and technical requirements

Your profile:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in offshore or marine construction
• Strong track record in foundation installation or heavy lift operations
• Proactive mindset with excellent coordination skills
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary and international project teams
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
