Position Summary
Title21 Health Solutions is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join our international quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and maintaining an automated testing framework (preferably Playwright) and a solid understanding of ISO 27001, FDA-regulated, and GMP software development environments. This role is key to ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications that serve regulated customers in the life sciences industry.
What You'll Do
Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test frameworks and scripts (Playwright preferred).
Design and execute test plans and cases, ensuring full coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing.
Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Support software verification and validation activities in compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, FDA, and GxP standards.
Contribute to documentation, including test protocols, traceability matrices, and verification reports.
Investigate and track defects through Jira and participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Continuously improve testing efficiency and reliability through automation and process enhancements.
Requirements
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience as QA Automation Engineer, preferably in a lead role.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools—Playwright strongly preferred (Cypress, Selenium, or similar acceptable).
Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Belgium at the time of application.
Bonus Points For
Experience with performance testing.
Experience with mobile testing.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), electronic quality management systems (eQMS), laboratory information systems (LIMS), and/or Bio-Manufacturing execution systems
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
