At ticketmatic, we don’t just sell ticketing software, we build tailor-made digital solutions for leading cultural organisations across Europe. More info about us: ticketmatic.com.
We’re looking for a medior to senior PHP/Laravel developer who enjoys combining strong technical skills with creative problem-solving and customer collaboration.
This is not a pure execution role.
You’ll help think through problems, explore possibilities, and turn ideas into robust, high-impact solutions.
Important note:
Because this role involves regular in-person collaboration with both colleagues and customers,
we can only consider candidates who are currently based in Belgium.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the ticketmatic Studio, you’ll work directly on custom projects for cultural organisations such as: Ancienne Belgique, Flagey, De Roma, Koninklijk Theater Carré, Theater Rotterdam.
You will:
- Design and build custom PHP/Laravel plugins on top of the ticketmatic platform
- Create new ticketing flows, data integrations and add-ons that significantly improve how organisations operate
- Analyse customer needs and translate them into technical concepts and solutions
- Collaborate directly with customers, from short alignment calls to hands-on brainstorms
- Take full ownership of your projects: from analysis to delivery
Typical split:
≈ 70% development · 20% analysis & thinking · 10% communication
What makes this role different
- Real impact – Your work directly powers the day-to-day operations of major cultural organisations
- Deep customisation – Our plug-in architecture allows you to go far beyond configuration and truly build client-specific solutions
- Product × agency hybrid – The stability of a product company with the variety and creativity of agency work
- Innovation as a differentiator – Our Studio projects will be a main driver for our further European expansion
This role is for you if you…
- Have solid experience with PHP and Laravel (medior or senior level)
- Enjoy thinking beyond “the product” and co-creating solutions with customers
- Are comfortable working autonomously and taking responsibility
- Like variety and context-switching between different projects
- Are fluent in English and Dutch
Nice to have (but not required):
- Experience with Livewire
- Docker / Kubernetes
- Professional French
This role is not for you if you…
- Prefer only executing predefined tasks
- Want zero customer interaction
- Need constant direction or tightly scoped work
Practical details
- 📍 Leuven (Belgium) – hybrid setup, minimum 3 days/week in the office
- 🧑💻 Team of ~25 people
- 🚀 Scale-up environment with real growth opportunities as our Studio expands across Europe
