As a Senior Functional Tester, you are responsible for verifying that the developed software functions as expected, both technically and functionally. You support the software team with your expertise and are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, from integration to qualification, as well as end-user support for acceptance testing. You also contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance.
You report to the Software Team Leader and work closely with functional analysts, developers, and engineers within the operations department.
Key Responsibilities
Writing the test strategy
Reviewing business requests and analysis documents
Creating and executing test cases, scenarios, and test plans
Tracking defects and issues and writing test reports
Automating test cases using various tools depending on technology and needs
Supporting teams and estimating testing effort and test plans for projects
Improving processes and test deliverables
Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree or higher
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software testing (manual and automated)
Experience with manual testing, API testing, and building test strategies
Good knowledge of testing processes and methodologies (ISTQB certification is a plus)
Experience testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, and proxy services
Experience analyzing and modeling complex processes and workflows
Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Xray, and ReadyAPI; plug-ins are a plus
Experience in Agile environments
Experience with Groovy scripting or equivalent
Nice to have: Familiarity with public administration systems.
