Senior Data Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable and flexible data architectures (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Optimize ETL/ELT processes and deploy automated workflows
• Monitor and troubleshoot data flows for errors or delays
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions and documentation
• Ensure compliance with data regulations and governance standards
• Promote innovation through AI/ML integrations, data lakes, and real-time processing
• Coach junior and mid-level data architects and collaborate across teams
• Lead documentation efforts in English that are clear and searchable
• Encourage knowledge sharing and apply best practices across the team

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years as a Data Architect
• Proven experience in end-to-end data solutions: acquisition, warehousing, processing, analysis
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases
• Expertise in Apache NiFi or equivalent data flow tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and application lifecycle management
• Experience with development tools (e.g., JetBrains) and database management platforms
• Agile methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to justify tech choices considering budget and usability
• Fluent in French or Dutch (native), with good knowledge of the other and English
