Data Engineer - 6 month contract - €400-€600 per day - Snowflake, AWS, Python, Airflow

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a dynamic Data & Analytics team focused on building scalable and high-quality data solutions. In this role, you will convert functional inquiries into technical solutions, develop robust data models, and play a key role in fostering a data-driven culture within the organization. You will report directly to the Data & Analytics Architect.

Responsibilities

-Develop and maintain data solutions in a cloud environment Snowflake (AWS), ensuring compliance with data governance, architecture standards, and GDPR regulations.

-Model data using methodologies such as data vault 2.0 and dimensional modeling.

-Set up and maintain ETL processes using tools like dbt, SQL, Python, and Airflow.

-Analyze and resolve daily data issues while providing support to analysts with testing and inquiries.

-Document processes, models, and technical solutions.

-Coach team members and contribute to the organization’s transition to data-driven practices.

Qualifications

-Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

-A minimum of 5 years of experience as a BI Consultant or Data Engineer.

-Extensive knowledge of SQL and practical experience with building ETL processes, particularly using Airflow and dbt.

-Proficient in data modeling techniques such as data vault 2.0 and dimensional modeling.

-Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

-Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is preferred.

-Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset.

-Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
