📍 Location: Gent, Belgium | On-site only (no remote)

I’m working with a growing, award-winning tech company that’s scaling its team in Gent. They’ve built a cloud-based SaaS platform that’s had strong success in the market, and now they’re looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced developer who’s comfortable working with Plain/Raw PHP.

This is a hands-on, on-site role - ideal for someone who enjoys product-focused work and collaborating in-person with a close-knit technical team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and improving features as part of an agile sprint team
• Writing and maintaining robust code using Plain PHP (no frameworks)
• Working closely with team leads, PMs, and fellow engineers to shape the platform
• Debugging, testing, and ensuring optimal software performance
• Participating across the full development lifecycle

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Raw PHP
• Strong MySQL, Sass, Git, and REST API experience
• Solid grounding in best practices for performance and maintainability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Relevant academic background in software or computer engineering
