Senior AWS Architect Consultant - freelance

We are seeking a Senior AWS Architect Consultant with a strong technical background and deep expertise in designing scalable, modern cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate is fluent in French, comfortable communicating in English, and brings a wealth of experience in AWS architecture, microservices, Angular, and Java. You should be results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Project info:

• Working style: Majority remote - you might be asked to come to the office once a month - Belgium
• Duration: 6 months to begin with + extension

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of robust cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Define and enforce architecture best practices across development teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Oversee the integration of microservices, Java and Angular
• Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of applications
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
• Support the team through all phases of project delivery from design to deployment

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in IT, with hands-on work in AWS architecture
• French speaker with excellent English communication skills
• Proven experience with AWS services and infrastructure design
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture
• Hands-on development and architecture experience with Java and Angular
• Able to work independently in a remote setup while collaborating closely with the client and team
• Willingness to travel on-site occasionally
• Availability for a 6-month contract, with strong likelihood of extension
