As a
Procurement Buyer
you will select,
evaluate
and
partner up
with global suppliers/subcontractors in order
to ensure sourcing efficiency
and guarantee that (inter)national business needs are met.

• You are responsible for the strategic supplier selection of specific product categories. Building long-term relationships with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and collaboration.
• Lead contract negotiations with new and existing partners to secure the best terms for pricing, delivery, and quality.
• Manage budgets effectively and drive cost-saving initiatives through data analysis and strategic negotiations, without compromising quality.
• Together with the Quality engineers, you actively follow-up the supplier performance evaluation and take the lead in handling escalated non-conformities and structural quality assurance.
• You collaborate closely with R&D, project and product management to support successful on new product introductions and cost optimization.
• You work closely together with the purchasing teams (Belgium, Bulgaria, US, Germany) and have a steering and/or supporting role in their sourcing activities.
• You stay up to date with procurement best practices, new methodologies, and tools to continuously optimize procurement processes and the department's performance.

How You Can Add Value To Our Team

• You combine a relevant Bachelor or Master's degree with 5+ years of procurement experience in a technical environment.
• Knowledge of Excel is required; you're looking forward to working with SAP and PowerBI.
• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently. Knowledge of other languages (e.g. French, German) is a plus.
• You are willing to travel up to 10% of your time.
• You are eager to co-create and execute procurement strategies in an innovation-driven international company.
