For our client in Mechelen we are looking for an automation tester. Tasks and responsibilities of this role Test automation development Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca. Integrate Tosca test scripts with the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. (Azure DevOps) Create reusable and modular test components to enhance test coverage and efficiency. Test planning and execution Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects and ensure quality. Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and new features. Collaboration and communication Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand testing requirements and provide feedback on application functionality. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Report test results, track defects, and provide regular updates on testing activities to stakeholders. Tool and process improvement Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation and Tosca. You must have sufficient skills to fulfill these responsibilities. The following skills are critical Hard skills Proficient in using Tosca for test automation, including creating and managing test cases, test data, and test execution Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, VBScript) is a plus Familiarity with Version Control systems like GIT Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC) Soft skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Preferred qualifications Certification in Tosca Knowledge of Azure DevOps
