Function Description: Endpoint System Engineer L3
As an Endpoint System Engineer L3, you will serve as a senior technical expert within the End User Computing (EUC) operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of endpoint systems across a globally distributed enterprise. This role demands deep technical expertise, proactive collaboration, and a strong focus on innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Patching & Compliance
- Lead patching operations using SCCM, Windows Update for Business (WUFB), and third-party patching tools (e.g., Patch My PC).
- Ensure high compliance rates and proactively resolve patching failures.
Application Packaging
- Package, test, and deploy applications using tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, MSI, Intune).
- Maintain version control and documentation for all packages.
L3 support and troubleshooting
- Assist and provide hands on support and troubleshooting for issues that the L2 teams cannot resolve
End-User & BIT Collaboration
- Act as a senior escalation point (3rd line support) for complex endpoint issues.
- Collaborate with end-users and local Business IT (BIT) teams to resolve issues and align solutions with business needs.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to tooling improvements and process optimization.
Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Share knowledge actively within the team.
Global Operations
- Operate effectively in a globally distributed company, navigating cross-cultural collaboration and time zone differences.
- Support global initiatives and standardization efforts.
Innovation & Development
- Participate in innovation and development projects, contributing ideas and technical solutions to improve endpoint management and user experience.
- 3Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot new technologies and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- Expert-level knowledge of patch management (SCCM, WUFB, third-party tools).
- Strong experience in application packaging and deployment.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in a global enterprise environment.
- Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset.
- Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Willingness to work at least 3 days per week on-site in Hoboken office.
