Electrical Designer/Engineer

Role Overview

The Electrical Designer/Engineer is responsible for designing and drafting technical solutions (tools, accessories, power circuits, cabinet layouts, etc.), aligning with operational and commercial needs. The role demands creativity, problem-solving, and customer-oriented thinking within the specialist domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical solutions based on operational requirements.
• Prepare and analyze sketches, design drawings, and missing data for accurate concepts.
• Perform measurements and documentation review for design accuracy.
• Use specialized CAD software to create concepts and execution drawings compliant with regulations.
• Develop electrical schematics (P&ID, facility & piping plans, etc.) for installations and equipment.
• Conduct technical calculations (strength analysis, cable section checks).
• Select appropriate materials and components considering technical, nuclear, safety, and economic standards.
• Maintain the drawing database ensuring up-to-date and high-quality plans for stakeholders.
• Oversee the lifecycle of designs (from initial drafting to "As-Built" documentation).
• Support specification creation and ensure compliance during project execution.
• Provide technical expertise, documentation, and knowledge sharing for internal and external teams.
• Prepare technical construction files and respond to supplier inquiries.
• Create and review CE / MOC / construction documents or acquire knowledge in the domain.

Required Skills & Experience:

• CAD Software: Autocad, Eplan, Caneco
• Electrical Systems & Instrumentation: Strong foundational knowledge
• Automation Hardware: Understanding of industrial automation components
• AREI Compliance: Familiarity with Belgian electrical regulations
• Fiber Optic & Data Communication: Practical experience
• Safety & Nuclear Awareness: Conventional and nuclear safety knowledge
• Technical Drawing & Calculations: Expertise in P&ID, schematics, strength analysis
• Database Management: Tracking and maintaining technical documentation
