Background information:
For one of our clients, a privately owned industrial group with global operations, we are currently seeking to appoint a Chief Information Officer. Our client is a midmarket company with 150M turnover which is pursuing an ambitious buy & build strategy to double by 2032. As integral part of the CEO office, the Corporate Development Manager will be involved in the different strategic initiatives across the organisation.
Your responsibilities:
As Corporate Development Manager, you will be a cornerstone of the CEO Office, translating strategic ambitions into concrete, company-wide transformation projects. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution, you will coordinate high-impact initiatives —always with a mindset of continuous improvement, agility, and value creation. You will play a key integrator role, acting as a catalyst for change, a translator between business and technical teams, and a hands-on orchestrator who gets things done. You will report directly into the Head of Strategic Programs & Transformation and work on a daily basis with the Executive Committee.
Strategic Project Leadership
- Design, lead, and coordinate cross-functional industrial initiatives with a clear focus on business value, efficiency, and scalability
- Translate executive-level objectives into structured, actionable roadmaps, tracking key milestones, risks, and KPIs
- Collaborate closely with business units (operations, engineering, supply chain, etc.) to ensure alignment, ownership, and follow-through
- Provide clear reporting and insight to the CEO and Executive Committee, supporting top-level decision-making
Organizational Agility & Transformation
- Support strategic operating model discussions, ensuring that structures and resources are future-proof
- Challenge and enhance existing processes with a mindset of innovation and pragmatic improvement
- Identify structural bottlenecks and mobilize the right teams to co-create solutions
- Enable agile ways of working across projects to increase flexibility, adaptability, and speed of delivery, and to enhance data-driven decision making
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Act as a key liaison between business functions, the executive level, and external stakeholders (e.g., partners, consultants, investors)
- Ensure that communication, governance, and engagement around strategic initiatives are clear, consistent, and effective
- Help foster a company-wide mindset of accountability, transparency, and performance
Data & Digital Enablers
- Work closely with data and digital teams to integrate smart tools and insights into strategic programs (e.g., dashboards, planning tools, real-time monitoring)
- Ensure projects are informed by relevant data and performance metrics, without becoming overly technical
- Champion a pragmatic approach to digital innovation—leveraging technology as an enabler rather than an end in itself
Your profile:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong affinity with data, analytics, and digital innovation
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, able to navigate between detail and big-picture vision
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, international environment
- Fluent communicator who builds trust, aligns interests, and keeps projects moving forward
- Familiarity with performance management, project governance, and transformation best practices
