Context
For one of our clients, a fast-growing Belgian company active in consumer goods, we are currently seeking to appoint a strategic and dynamic Marketing Senior Professional, at Sr. Manager or Director levels, who will play a critical role in the international expansion of the group. With a turnover around € 200M, the company is the European leader in its segment and is aiming to triple its revenue in the coming 5 years by further expanding its activities in Europe and the US.
Main responsibilities
Working closely with the CMO and the rest of the Executive Committee, this position will be responsible for driving the execution of the marketing strategy, ensuring the growth of the brand within the different key regions, and mobilising the organisation transversally to achieve these goals.
Local marketing management
- Be the undisputed expert of your region, going on the field with the sales team and building proprietary knowledge of customer behaviour, channels, market trends and competitor activities.
- Use this expertise to support the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in translating the marketing strategy in local marketing plans that ensure local brand relevance and drive local growth.
- Collaborate transversally to share local insights and drive successful local marketing plan execution with internal teams, incl. Sales, Communication, Product Development, Planning, Logistics and Design.
Product
- Collaborate with the Sales, Design and Product Development teams to ensure the right product assortment for each market, identifying gaps and balancing global trends with local preferences.
- Lead product managers in managing product categories lifecycle across regions, from launch to end-of-life, ensuring reliable demand planning and forecasting – together with other marketing managers.
- Ensure new product development and sampling processes meet the needs of our accounts (scope, timing, etc.) and are executed/ followed-through effectively.
Price
- Identify relevant competitor set in scope region and recommend a competitive pricing strategy.
- Analyse local pricing structures, competitor pricing, and consumer price sensitivity to determine optimal price points and commercial policy (e.g., discount schemes, etc.).
Place
- Work with the Sales teams to ensure optimal product penetration across our accounts/ channel partners (decorators, resellers, agencies, brands, distributors, POD) and drive share of wallet gain.
- Coordinate with logistics and planning teams to guarantee timely product availability and ensure smooth logistics operations, while making sure we remain relevant and competitive (“top 3”).
Promotion
- Work with communication team to tailor global communication plan to local needs where relevant, including digital and traditional media, to increase brand visibility and drive customer demand.
Skills and qualifications
Required skills
- Proven experience in brand creation and management within an international context.
- Experience working for a midmarket and/or fast growing company.
- Strong leadership & communication skills, able to inspire and drive transversality across the org.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B or B2C marketing, with a strong focus on brand building.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to mobilize the organization transversally and drive growth through tailored marketing initiatives.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Polish) is a plus.
- Applicants must be based in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium.
