Lead Planning Engineer

TMC is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer for a site-based project in Belgium.

In this role, you will work as part of the client’s commissioning management team, helping to finalize and optimize commissioning schedules and supporting execution activities through plant startup. The assignment requires strong scheduling expertise, proven commissioning experience, and coordination skills to work with multiple contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Refine and optimize commissioning schedules in Primavera P6, integrating scope changes, vendor constraints, and punch-list impacts.
• Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules for site execution teams.
• Monitor daily progress, identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and support system handovers.
• Produce progress reports, S-curves, and critical path analyses for management.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure aligned planning and efficient startup.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10 years of industrial project scheduling experience, with a proven track record in lead planning roles on large construction-site projects.
• Around 5 years of commissioning experience.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid VCA-VOL certificate prior to start date.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Excel, with knowledge of commissioning workflows.
