Health Safety Environment Coordinator

The role supports a large-scale industrial construction program by preparing, coordinating, and maintaining the health and safety framework during the execution phase. Acting as a key advisor, the position provides functional guidance to project and HSSE leadership to ensure safe and compliant delivery of works. The role focuses on coordination, on-site safety oversight, and alignment with national legislation and internal standards. The position contributes directly to achieving high safety performance, schedule adherence, and regulatory compliance.

• Coordinate the application of prevention and risk hierarchy principles throughout the construction phase.
• Maintain and update safety-related documentation, including safety plans, coordination files, and post-intervention dossiers.
• Organize and participate in contractor coordination and safety meetings on site.
• Conduct regular site walkarounds and inspections to verify compliance with legal requirements and project standards.
• Support project, construction, and HSSE management in addressing and resolving health and safety matters.

What we expect from you:

• Certified Prevention Advisor Level 1 or Safety Coordinator Level A in accordance with Belgian legislation.
• Degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. mechanical, electromechanical, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Belgian HSSE legislation and construction safety practices.
• 4+ years of experience in a safety coordination or prevention role on industrial projects.
• Fluent in Dutch AND English.
