STERIS has a Director, Global Accounts vacancy In this role, you'll build strong partnerships with key customers, drive growth across core sites, and position STERIS as a trusted strategic partner. You'll deepen account insights, foster cross-functional collaboration, and identify opportunities to deliver comprehensive solutions that create lasting value for both our customers and STERIS.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Drive Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to grow revenue and align STERIS solutions with Customer needs.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at both site and senior levels to expand STERIS presence across Customer organizations.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams—including Sales, Product Management, Technical Services, and Marketing—to deliver tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Monitor Trends & Performance: Track market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Analyze account performance and Customer business models to inform strategy.
  • Identify Site-Level Opportunities: Assess STERIS positioning at individual sites to uncover areas for expansion and deeper engagement.
  • Lead Contract Negotiations: Manage contract discussions and support the development of MSAs, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal guidance.
  • Provide Leadership & Mentorship: Guide account teams and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive account growth and program success.
  • Travel Strategically: Visit client sites and attend industry events, ensuring effective planning and follow-up to maximize impact.
Education Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Chemical Engineering
Required Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Science, Technical or Engineering relate field preferred 
  • 6 to 10 years of experience selling in Life Sciences
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Must have a valid in date passport with no travel restrictions
Preferred Experience
  • MBA preferred, but not required. 
  • Adept at understanding and meeting the objectives of large, complex organizations engaging a multi-stakeholder audience.
  • Proven track record of successful account growth and business development.
  • Fluent in French or German

  • Strong Strategic thinker- focuses on the analysis of critical factors and variables that will influence the long-term success of expanding global account market share
  • Outthinks the competition- identifies competitors and their strategies and articulates to the Customer a market analysis and business alignment comparison between STERIS LS and competitors.
  • Builds interdependent partnerships- gains trust and credibility quickly in higher management level interaction and balances promotion of different opinions with inquiry and cooperation.
  • Accelerates positive change & collaboration- fosters collaboration among Sales and Marketing; initiates, persuades and motivates others to embrace change and take action.
  • Leads confidently- exhibits self-confidence, challenges the status quo tactfully, persistence and resilience (internally and externally)
  • Communicates for results- has excellent communication and presentation skills and is proactive when engaging with C-Level audience.
Working Conditions

Ideal candidate can travel 50-60% both domestically and internationally and is located in a metropolitan area preferably in Belgium, Germany or France. Will consider other locations.

The travel will sometimes be at short notice as well as planned in advance.
