Senior Machine Learning AI Engineer – Daily Rate Contract
Working Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite in Brussels)
Contract: 12-month daily rate contract (Permanent Option: Also available)
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Stelfox is partnering with one of our key clients in Brussels to recruit a Senior Machine Learning AI Engineer for a high-impact role within a cloud-focused, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Drive initiatives to improve the performance, scalability, robustness, and reliability of Cloud AI services
Lead the definition and evolution of architecture and design for AI, data analytics, and machine learning cloud services
Contribute hands-on to the development of AI platforms, data pipelines, and ML services
Ensure high-quality delivery across functionality, performance, security, and operational stability
Support, guide, and mentor team members, contributing to overall team productivity and technical excellence
Key Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in machine learning, representation learning, and embedding techniques
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud services on AWS
Excellent software engineering skills with strong proficiency in Python
Experience with graph learning and Large Language Models (LLMs)
Knowledge of graph learning libraries (e.g. PyTorch Geometric)
Familiarity with interactive visualisation tools such as Streamlit, Gradio, or Dash
Strong experience producing high-quality technical documentation and reports
Proficiency with software development and maintenance tools (e.g. GitHub)
Ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
Fluent in English (working language)
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline
Proven experience delivering AI and data analytics solutions into operational business environments
The client is open to both contract and permanent candidates
Candidates must currently be residing in Belgium to be considered
