QA Tester

A major retail organization is replacing its legacy POS system with the GK POS suite, covering Traditional Checkout, Self-Checkout, Self-Scan, and eCommerce integration. This transformation spans multiple countries, languages, and fiscal environments, requiring strong QA discipline to ensure system stability and compliance.

As a QA Tester, you will validate the quality of the POS solution and its integrations (StoreOffice, payments, fiscal systems, loyalty, eCommerce). You'll work in structured 6-week testing cycles, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and cooperate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth rollout.

• Run functional, integration, regression, and non-functional tests during QA iterations

• Perform end-to-end validation across POS, SCO, and StoreOffice systems

• Use Zephyr for test planning, execution, and reporting

• Log and track defects in JIRA, working with developers for resolution

• Provide thorough test evidence (screenshots, logs, receipts) for defect triage and QA sign-off

• Support UAT phases, helping business users validate market-specific workflows

• Participate in daily stand-ups and defect triage sessions with Developers, BAs, and Product Owners

• Maintain and update test cases and regression packs

• Prepare environments and test data (catalogues, loyalty accounts, fiscal setups)

• 3+ years of QA testing experience, ideally in retail, POS, or transactional systems

• Hands-on experience with test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail, or equivalent)

• Strong knowledge of defect management in JIRA

• Experience in functional, integration, and regression testing

• Familiarity with hardware/software testing (scanners, printers, EFT terminals)

• Exposure to non-functional testing (performance, failover, security)

• Excellent communication and cooperative mindset

• Conscientious, structured, and proactive in identifying risks

• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French required for local team collaboration

• Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)

• Knowledge of payment systems, fiscal compliance, or retail operations

• Familiarity with GK POS or similar POS suites

• Experience in transformation programs
