Public Affairs/Policy Senior Recruitment Consultant (Brussels) Company: Spencer Recruitment Location: Brussels (Hybrid) Type: Permanent, full-time Level: Consultant / Senior Consultant (flexible depending on experience) About Spencer Recruitment Spencer Recruitment specialises in recruitment across Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, and PR . We’re expanding our presence in Brussels and are hiring a Public Affairs recruiter to build and grow our Brussels desk. The role You’ll run end-to-end recruitment for public affairs and policy roles across consultancies, corporates, membership bodies, NGOs, and regulated sectors. This is a growth role with real scope to shape a market, win clients, and become a recognised recruiter in the sector. Key responsibilities Build and manage a pipeline of Public Affairs candidates (Advisor → Director/Head of) Develop client relationships and win retained/contingent searches Take briefs, advise on role design, salary benchmarking, and hiring strategy Source, screen, shortlist, and manage interview processes end-to-end Write compelling job ads and candidate profiles; manage offers and close hires Create market intelligence: mapping, competitor insights, candidate communities Contribute to Spencer’s brand presence in the UK (events, content, LinkedIn) What we’re looking for Experience in recruitment (agency or in-house), ideally in PA/communications/policy or experience working within public affairs/policy and a desire to move into recruitment Strong business development capability (or clear potential to develop it) Confident communicator — comfortable with senior stakeholders and C-suite candidates Commercial mindset, organised, and resilient (recruitment is a performance environment) Knowledge of the Brussels public affairs landscape is a plus (Whitehall, regulators, trade bodies, consultancies) What’s on offer Competitive base + commission/bonus (DOE) Clear progression path as the Brussels market grows Hybrid flexibility and autonomy to build your desk Opportunity to help build Spencer’s Brussels platform (events, partnerships, brand)
