CAD designer at the Road Infrastructure Design team:

• The Road Infrastructure Design Team is a central team, part of the Asset Information and Road Infrastructure Inspections department of the Flemish Government's Roads and Traffic Agency, located in Evere. Our team members are based in various provinces of Flanders.
• Our team is responsible for designing road infrastructure in support of the regional departments and project managers. The team works across three domains: surveying, CAD design, and plan archive management. It also functions as an internal design office and provides support in developing investment projects and PCV files.
• As a CAD designer, you're responsible for preparing, executing, and reviewing various drawing assignments from internal clients within a specific timeframe. You'll receive your assignments from the team leader and report regularly on your work progress. During the design phase of a project, you'll regularly meet with the project manager and site supervisor to discuss the design and make adjustments where necessary. Regular team meetings are held to share experiences with colleagues.

You are responsible for:

• developing draft designs
• drawing ground plans, length profiles, cross sections, axis plans, etc.
• drawing of signaling plans
• supporting surveyors in drawing up expropriation plans
• BIM model formatting
• drawing up measurement reports
• You are familiar with:
• 3D designs in Civil3D
• existing standards and norms in road construction
• (basic) knowledge of BIM/AIM
• knowledge of common software applications
• During office days you can choose between both locations, Ghent or Bruges:

Practical information:

• Working from home is negotiable
• Travel to other buildings of the Flemish Government may be requested.
• The contract will be valid for 1 year, with the possibility of annual extension after a positive evaluation.
• All-inclusive rate where mileage allowance is included
