Project Engineer

Sharp is een internationale speler in farmaceutische verpakkingen met locaties in de VS, VK, Nederland en België. In België (Hamont-Achel) assembleren, labelen en verpakken we voorgevulde spuiten, injectiepennen en vials. Met meer dan 60 jaar ervaring ontwerpt en implementeert onze Belgische vestiging hoogwaardige verpakkingsoplossingen. Project Engineer

Responsibilities

· Define, secure, and improve existing and new processes and projects.

· Implement projects and process improvements within defined budgets.

· Develop feasibility studies for investments and the introduction of new technologies.

· Support the development of validation protocols.

· Execute validation protocols in consultation with the quality department.

· Provide technical training and instructions to production, technical, and quality staff.

· Create and follow up on quotation requests and purchase orders in the ERP system, and review and approve related invoices.

· Participate in cost estimate requests and propose alternative solutions in collaboration with engineers, project coordinators, and the manager.

· Coordinate and optimize the assigned packaging lines technically and practically, fostering further development and efficient operation in collaboration with fellow engineers.

· Develop operational parameters (line speed, performance, changeover times, etc.) and monitor and adjust these to achieve set standards.

· Conduct problem analyses and develop improvement actions together with other engineers.

· Document (new) processes through process descriptions, URSs, FAT/SAT, setup and operating instructions, preventive maintenance guidelines, troubleshooting schemes, training plans, validations, and more.

· Maintain contact with suppliers regarding new machinery/installations, technical information, or interventions, in consultation with the manager.

· Attend trade fairs and training to expand and optimize technical knowledge of machines and processes.

· Supervise and monitor hired personnel.

· Develop, track, and keep project plans and budgets up to date, from A to Z.

· Actively contribute to continuous improvement.

· Take appropriate actions (correcting, informing, stopping machines, etc.) in case of quality deviations or malfunctioning safety systems.

· Apply quality systems related to Change Requests and CAPAs (support quality department in defining CAPAs, translate CAPAs into actions, execute and follow up on these actions).

· Correctly apply and enforce safety, hygiene, and quality procedures and instructions, with a strong focus on effective policy.

· Promote a positive working atmosphere, quality awareness, customer focus, flexibility, responsiveness, efficiency, and order and cleanliness.

Profile

· Technical engineering degree or equivalent through experience.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a production environment. Experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry is a strong asset.

· Familiar with GMP guidelines, pharmaceutical regulations, hygiene standards, etc.

· Experience with quality systems, procedures, and training.

· Proficient with MS Office.

· Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written); knowledge of German or French is a plus.

· Experience in writing reports.

· Conceptual thinker with solid technical knowledge and experience in project management.

· Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset.

· Excellent planning and organizational skills with cost awareness.

· Strong time management skills.
