User Experience Expert
User Experience Expert (UEE) – Near-Site – Brussels Area – Advanced English
We are looking for a Senior User Experience Expert to support the continuous evolution of digital solutions for a public body of the European Union.
Location: Near-site (within 2 hours from Brussels)
Contract Type: Project-based
Languages: English C1 & French (mandatory) | Other EU languages are an advantage
EU27 citizenship required
Role Overview
The User Experience Expert will contribute to the design, testing, and continuous improvement of large-scale digital platforms supporting EU programmes, ensuring intuitive, user-centred, and accessible solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct usability testing and UX analysis.
Provide UI/UX recommendations throughout the full design lifecycle.
Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, mock-ups, and storyboards.
Define information architecture, interaction workflows, and navigation.
Create and maintain style guides, visual libraries, and graphic elements.
Perform user research, interviews, and usability studies.
Translate insights into actionable design decisions.
Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams in agile environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent (EQF Level 7).
Experience as UX Consultant, UX Researcher, or similar.
Strong knowledge of UX/UI best practices, usability studies, and user-centred design.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and design tools (Adobe Suite, Sketch, XD).
Knowledge of web standards, analytics, accessibility, and responsive design.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multicultural environments.
