Head Pharmacist


About the Company - Join a growing independent pharmacy in Halle (Flemish Brabant) as a Head Pharmacist. We are looking for an experienced and committed Head Pharmacist to lead a recently acquired on-site pharmacy and actively contribute to its strategic and operational development. You will play a key role in patient care, team management, and regulatory compliance.


About the Role - Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and provide personalized pharmaceutical advice to patients. Lead, support and coordinate the pharmacy team (assistants, trainees). Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and order processes. Guarantee compliance with quality, safety, and legal standards (AFMPS, INAMI, etc.). Take part in the growth of the pharmacy through local initiatives and innovative services. Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and the local community.


Responsibilities

Qualifications - Master’s degree in Pharmacy and registered with the Belgian Order of Pharmacists.


Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a community pharmacy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, service-minded, with natural leadership
  • Fluent in Dutch (the patient population is mainly Dutch-speaking)
  • Self-driven, responsible, and proactive


Preferred Skills

  • Experience as a titular pharmacist or assistant titular pharmacist
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems
  • Knowledge of local public health programs and pharmacy-led care initiatives
  • Basic understanding of business and stock management principles
  • Ability to speak or understand French and/or English is a plus
