Key Responsibilities

LABELS

Reformatting stick-on labels

  • Receive label files from Customer Care after they have been reviewed and approved by Regulatory.
  • Carefully reformat each file into A5 landscape or vertical layout using Word or Adobe Acrobat, ensuring text and regulatory information remain visible and correctly aligned.
  • Adjust layout to fit the specific label size and printing requirements without altering any approved regulatory content.
  • Double-check formatting for readability and accuracy before sending the final version back to Customer Care and Production for use.

Reformatting print-on labels

  • Receive label files from Customer Care (Word or PDF) after Regulatory approval.
  • Convert these files into production-ready formats (bmp, tif, ltg) using GIMP and LimiDrawPlus software.
  • Adjust layouts and file settings to meet technical printing specifications (resolution, dimensions, format compatibility).
  • Coordinate with Production and Logistics teams to confirm that the reformatted labels meet machine requirements and can be used without errors during the printing process.
  • Send reformatted files back for final validation before they are released into production.
  • Maintain and organize the library of approved, printer-ready label files in SharePoint for easy access.

BAGS

Coordinate with bag suppliers to meet SQM Holland production needs

  • Request the supplier to apply dimension modifications, eyemark additions, and bag number insertion, based on requirements provided by the SQM Holland Production team.
  • Manage ongoing email communication between SQM Holland Production, Logistics, the bag supplier, and occasionally the customer to confirm requirements (depending on whether it is an SQM or non-SQM bag).
  • Ensure that supplier proposals align with SQM Holland’s production capabilities and logistics requirements.
  • Distribute revised SQM and non-SQM bag layouts to stakeholders for review and collect approvals before finalizing.

Updating SharePoint with logistics and production information for each bag

  • Collect and confirm technical details from bag supplier/production/logistics teams (bag dimensions, winding number, roll/single bag format, micro-perforation, embossing, bag numbers).
  • Enter and maintain these details in the Bag SharePoint system, keeping records current for all active and discontinued bag versions.
  • Update SharePoint whenever a bag version is out of stock or replaced, ensuring all teams (Customer Care, Logistics, Production, Sales) have the latest specifications. Logistics and Production notify us by email when a bag goes out of stock.

Coordinate and support the end-to-end bag update workflow

  • Initiation: Receive requests from Sales Managers or Product Manager for bag updates (e.g., adding new languages, adjusting logos, or product information changes).
  • Logistics input: Collect and confirm technical details from Logistics and Production, or, when applicable, copy them from a previous bag layout (e.g., bag dimensions, winding type, roll vs. single bag, micro-perforation, embossing).
  • Regulatory compliance: Incorporate any required Regulatory updates sent from Regulatory team.
  • Design work: Send requests to designers to update existing bag layouts or create new ones that incorporate all changes.
  • Validation process: Manage the review and feedback cycle with Sales Managers and customers, ensuring requested changes are correct and approved.
  • Supplier stage: Coordinate with bag suppliers to prepare and refine mock-ups, confirm technical print requirements, and incorporate revisions.
  • Final approval: Oversee the last round of validation with Production and Operations to secure approval before bags go into print.
  • Ongoing communication: This process requires continuous email and meeting follow-up across multiple stakeholders (Logistics, Production, Operations, Regulatory, Sales, Design, Customer and bag supplier) to keep progress on track and avoid delays.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with administrative or design programs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
