Marketing Specialist I, Europe

Job Overview
SCS is hiring a talented marketing professional who is a self-starter and an autonomous, effective collaborator to help build our brand and provide direct support to our Europe-based teams. The Marketing Specialist, Europe will work directly with European teams across various programs and countries, adhering to the organization's marketing guidelines to increase SCS' visibility and exposure through marketing strategy and initiatives, and supporting program implementation and development in Europe.

This important position reports to the Business Development and Strategy Director for Europe. The Marketing Specialist represents a link between sales executives, marketing, programs, and operations, all based in Europe. This position is responsible for supporting the preparation of promotional strategies, assisting with the planning and organization of marketing campaigns, participating in trade shows and conferences, supporting online webinars and trainings, and updating social media channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about our sustainability mission, has a history of demonstrated success, and can identify what's required to effectively articulate and elevate SCS's value proposition.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a marketing strategy that will lead to the organization of marketing campaigns to generate leads that support sales goals in Europe
  • Assist the creation of strategic marketing reports with input on market intelligence content
  • Support strategies to establish SCS' branded standards in the market
  • Attend, coordinate, and promote events such as webinars and trade shows
  • Research, identify, and recommend SCS participation in sector associations aimed at increasing the visibility of SCS in Europe
  • Attend marketing team meetings
  • Maintain company database and CRM systems (Salesforce CRM)
  • Conduct competitive research to deliver marketing campaigns
  • Create and monitor SCS Global Services Europe social media posts and ad campaigns to increase search authority, website traffic, and leads
  • Follow and update the necessary procedures to ensure compliance with EU data protection legislation during marketing campaigns and other forms of communication
  • Work across divisions, teams, and entities, including collaborating closely with the corporate marketing team to execute marketing strategies and develop marketing materials adapted to various European markets

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or equivalent work experience and
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, or similar role
  • Passion for marketing, best practices, and different B2B marketing approaches
  • Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge about certification services and sustainability programs
  • Focused on data-driven marketing initiatives
  • Understanding of sales and business performance metrics
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail with a professional drive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Professional proficiency in at least one other major EU language (German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Salesforce, and HubSpot
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and use professional judgement; responsive and adaptive

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Public Relations
  • General understanding of or knowledge in the sustainability industry (challenges, regulation, etc.)

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.
