Senior Data Engineer - Antwerp (Freelance)

As a data engineer, you'll be part of a team and focused on creating sustainable value for our client and its customers. You'll do this by making various types of data sources available to data scientists and Tableau experts.

What will you be doing?

• Designing and developing technical solutions to collect, store, and analyze large volumes of data
• Building and maintaining data pipelines both on-premises (Oracle) and in the cloud (AWS/Azure)
• Preparing and structuring data for data scientists and Tableau experts, translating data needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria
• Developing and managing data flows via (meta)pipelines, ensuring optimal batch processing and top-notch data quality
• Thoroughly documenting processes, pipelines, and solutions

Your background

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent in Dutch with a good knowledge of English
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Kubeflow, Pentaho)
• Knowledge of modern data warehousing, data modelling, and DBMSs (Redshift, Azure SQL, Synapse)

Offer:

Location: Antwerp

Onsite Working: 2 days per week

Contract Length: 3 months plus extensions

Hourly Rate: Up to €95 (Dependent on experience)
