DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Freelance DevOps Engineer to join a leading medical company based in Brussels. The ideal candidate will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate the delivery of critical medical applications and services.

Contract Details

• Location: Brussels, Belgium (Remote or hybrid options available)
• Contract Type: Freelance / Contractor
• Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
• Rate: Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed based on experience)
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and compliance teams to meet stringent regulatory standards.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable operation of medical applications.
• Provide technical guidance on DevOps best practices and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, ideally within the healthcare or medical device sector.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to medical software (GDPR, HIPAA a plus).
• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
