About the Project

You will join the ROV team (Driver Training and Professional Competence) within the TMB department of the Flemish Government.

The ROV application:

• Sends successful exam results to the Federal Public Service Mobility, enabling candidates to obtain driving licences and/or professional competence qualifications.
• Integrates with other platforms such as Vlaams Handhavingsplatform and MijnBurgerProfiel.

Role & Responsibilities

• Full-stack Java/JEE development with a strong focus on Angular for front-end.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions.
• Participate in technical design creation and lead technical designers when required.
• Work with event-driven architectures.
• Integrate with external systems and APIs.
• Ensure smooth deployment through CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in Java/JEE application development.
• Expert in Angular for front-end development.
• Skilled with:
• Java, JavaScript, Angular, Spring Boot, Bootstrap, IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Hibernate, XQuery, HTML, CSS
• Familiar with CI/CD tools and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in developing cloud-native applications.
• Strong technical design skills and leadership in technical decision-making.

Language Skills

• Fluent Dutch (required)
• Fluent English

• Location: Hybrid – remote + 1 day/week onsite (Mechelen and/or Brussels)
