Head of Operations: Build the Backbone That Lets Our AI Agents Scale


ppRollo.ai is at the stage where things get really interesting: product–market fit is emerging, demand is growing, and complexity is increasing fast. Now we need the operational, legal, financial and people foundation to scale that impact safely and sustainably. /ppAs Head of Operations, you turn ambition into execution: you connect vision, numbers and teams. You design how Rollo runs every day and how it grows over the next years. You will be the operational backbone of Rollo.ai, making sure the company runs smoothly, grows in a controlled way, and stays financially healthy while the team builds. /ppYou work closely with the CEO and have a direct say in how the company is structured and how it evolves. You will help shape how we grow, not just follow a playbook. /ph3What you will do as Head of Operations /h3pTurn strategy into execution /pulliTranslate the company vision into concrete plans, OKRs/KPIs and scalable processes across teams. /liliPartner with the CEO on strategic projects, partnerships, acquisitions and (future) capital raises. /liliContinuously assess where we are as a company and what needs to exist next (from reporting to hiring to tooling) to support sustainable growth. /li /ulpBuild operational excellence (without bureaucracy) /pulliImplement and improve systems, tools and automation for project delivery, internal coordination and reporting. /liliDesign simple, robust processes that help the team move faster and with fewer errors, adding clarity, not red tape. /liliSet up monitoring and reporting so leadership has a clear, real‑time view on performance, risks and runway. /li /ulpLead people culture operations /pulliOwn HR operations: contracts, HR processes, basic policies and compliance. /liliCoordinate recruitment, onboarding, and career development in close collaboration with team leads. /liliHelp shape and protect our culture: clear communication, constructive feedback, rituals that fit a small, ambitious team, and a structure that supports high performance and well‑being. /li /ulpOwn compliance, legal risk /pulliIdentify and mitigate operational, legal and data‑related risks in an AI‑first environment. /liliEnsure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations, in close collaboration with external legal and data‑protection advisors. /liliOversee contracts, NDAs and partner agreements, making sure they are consistent, de‑risked and pragmatic. /li /ulpDrive financial stewardship /pulliManage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting together with the founders and external accounting partners. /liliOversee invoicing, payments and financial controls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and transparency. /liliProvide clear financial insights and scenarios that support strategic decisions (e.g. hiring, investments, pricing, and runway). /li /ulh3What makes you a great fit /h3pSkills experience /pulli4+ years of experience in operations, finance, HR, general management or a similar broad role. /liliYou have helped a smaller company grow, for example a startup, scale‑up or entrepreneurial environment, and you know what it means to build structure while things are still moving. /liliProven ability to set up and improve processes, systems and reporting in a growing organization, not just run them. /liliSolid understanding of financial basics: budgeting, cash flow, PL, unit economics, and working with external accountants/partners. /liliExperience with HR operations (contracts, onboarding, basic policies) and working closely with hiring managers. /liliComfortable dealing with legal and compliance topics (contracts, NDAs, GDPR, risk) together with external advisors. /liliStrong analytical skills: you are comfortable with data, metrics and dashboards and you use them to drive decisions. /liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus. /liliMaster’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Law or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in building and running operations in a growing company. /li /ulpHow you work /ppThis role is less about a perfect CV and more about how you think and operate. /ppYou will likely recognize yourself in most of these: /pulliYou enjoy 0→1→N. You are comfortable in a leadership meeting discussing scenarios, and just as comfortable opening the spreadsheet, CRM or HR tool to fix the underlying issue yourself. /liliYou think in systems. When something breaks, you look for the root cause and adjust the system, not only patch the symptom. /liliYou make decisions. You are happy to own clear decisions within your remit, and you know when to pull in the founders quickly with a concrete recommendation. /liliStructured and reliable. People know they can trust your numbers, your plans and your follow‑through. /liliPeople‑savvy. You can talk with engineers, founders, lawyers and clients and keep everyone aligned without creating unnecessary layers. /liliComfortable with ambiguity. You don’t need everything to be defined upfront. You help create the definition. /li /ulpThis role will not feel right if you are at your best in very hierarchical environments, rely on long approval chains, or prefer highly standardized corporate processes.
