ABOUT RESSENCE
Founded by Benoît Mintiens in 2010, Antwerp-based Ressence is setting a new paradigm for watchmaking, redefining the essential.
Known for its patented Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS), which replaces hands with rotating discs, Ressence crafts watches that are intuitive, legible, and deeply human. Innovations like oil-filled dials and the absence of a crown serve one purpose: ergonomics, clarity, and experience.
We apply design thinking to fine watchmaking, providing functional meaning to mechanical watches for customers who value clarity without losing soul and functionality without compromising beauty. We call this Simplication, a dedication to innovation, minimalism, and forging human connection in watchmaking.
In an industry landscape dominated by status and tradition, Ressence stands apart as a design-led independent company. Our Swiss-made watches are for modern life, not the museum, and our audience is curious and optimistic, seeking timepieces that spark conversation without pretension.
Wearing a Ressence is a statement of optimism, a belief that the future holds more promise than the past. It’s not about nostalgia, but about moving forward. From TYPE 1 to TYPE 9, our approach is an understated benchmark in contemporary horology.
