We are seeking a Junior Functional Analyst (Freelance) for a 17-month project with our client, based in Ghent & Brussels. This is your opportunity to drive digital transformation at scale, working alongside elite tech talent to shape the financial backbone of a major organization.

As a builder, you'll be at the heart of integrating Power Apps and Power BI, ensuring seamless data flow and actionable insights for business-critical decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analyze and improve existing Power Apps within the organization's ecosystem, identifying opportunities for integration and optimization.
• Formulate and present improvement proposals to the project team based on your analysis of current Power Apps.
• Assess and communicate the impact of process changes on Power Apps and the broader digital landscape.
• Drive the integration of Power Apps into the organization's digital ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Design and implement financial-specific reports in Power BI, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Facilitate integration between Power BI and other reporting tools, ensuring comprehensive and connected reporting solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management and account management, to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Participate in database migration activities and ensure data integrity throughout the process.
• Model data and processes using industry-standard techniques and tools (BPMN, UML, Enterprise Architect, etc.).
• Document requirements and designs for OO, Client/Server, and/or UML environments.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience as a functional analyst with small business-critical or larger non-business-critical applications.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI and Power Apps in technical environments.
• Proven experience with database migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of data and process modeling techniques and tools (BPMN, UML, Enterprise Architect).
• Demonstrable knowledge of requirements analysis and design for OO, Client/Server, and/or UML environments.
• Experience within the Flemish government and with Azure SQL is a plus.
