About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Freelance) to join our client's transformation journey in Brussels. In this high-impact role, you will drive the digitization and optimization of business processes, shaping the operational backbone of a leading organization. Your expertise will directly influence how business and technology unite to deliver real-world outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and meetings to map, analyze, and optimize business processes across multiple departments.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation for development teams.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
• Validate that implemented solutions match business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with IT architects to develop target architectures and support organizational transformation.
• Drive data modeling initiatives and champion data quality improvement projects.
• Facilitate Agile project delivery, including test preparation and coordination.
• Manage and organize stakeholder workshops, synthesizing complex information into actionable insights.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Expertise in organizational/process consulting, ideally with exposure to the mutualist sector or compensation/disability processes.
• Strong background in business process modeling (BPMN) and business-IT alignment.
• Solid understanding of operational requirements and IT constraints.
• Experience with data modeling and data quality projects is highly desirable.
• Project management skills, with a track record of delivering in Agile environments.
• Ability to quickly synthesize information and maintain a helicopter view.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in both public and private sector environments is a plus.

Language Proficiency

• Dutch: Active knowledge required
• French: Active knowledge required
• English: Passive knowledge required

Other Requirements

• Confirmed experience as a Business Analyst
• Agile project experience
• Willingness to work onsite in Brussels at least 2 days per week
• Telework permitted within Belgian borders
