About the Role

We're seeking a Senior ServiceNow Analyst/Developer (Freelance) to join our client's mission-critical team for a 12-month project in Brussels (hybrid). You'll play a pivotal role in evolving and maintaining the ServiceNow platform at the heart of a leading financial institution's Enterprise Service Management. What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, analyzing, and developing advanced ServiceNow functionalities and applications based on evolving business needs
• Translating business requirements into robust technical solutions within the ITSM module and beyond
• Leading the development and maintenance of integrations with other core infrastructure components using IntegrationHub and custom scripting
• Providing expert-level support to users and mentoring junior developers to elevate team capability
• Enhancing user-facing tools, including documentation, reports, dashboards, and self-service portals
• Driving the deployment and adoption of ServiceNow across the organization by identifying new use cases and automation opportunities
• Ensuring all solutions comply with internal standards for performance, security, and maintainability

What We're Looking For

• Proven expertise in ServiceNow platform usage, with deep experience in ITSM, IntegrationHub, and scoped applications
• Strong scripting skills and hands-on experience with Jira
• Demonstrated leadership in technical discussions, project planning, and mentoring
• Passion for ServiceNow and a commitment to delivering high-quality, business-aligned solutions
• Clear, effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, balancing strategic initiatives with operational support
• Analytical thinker with a customer-oriented, solution-focused mindset
• Experience in identifying and implementing automation opportunities

Technical Skills & Certifications

• ServiceNow: ITSM module (Expert)
• ServiceNow: IntegrationHub (Advanced)
• ServiceNow: Scoped Apps (Expert)
• ServiceNow: Global Platform Usage (Expert)
• Scripting (Intermediate)
• Jira (Intermediate)
• Relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM, Certified Application Developer, Certified System Administrator, Implementation Specialist – Discovery, Performance Analytics)
• ITIL V4 Foundation certification is a plus
• Short higher education diploma in an IT subject preferred

Language Proficiency

• Dutch: Professional working proficiency
• English: Professional working proficiency
• French: Professional working proficiency

Other Requirements

• Hybrid work model (partially remote, to be discussed with the manager)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is an advantage
• Strong motivation to contribute to impactful, large-scale digital transformation projects
