Machine Learning Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled MLOps Engineer / AI Engineer to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between Data Science initiatives and IT operations. You will focus on the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of machine learning models and AI applications, ensuring smooth integration into organizational infrastructure. Additionally, you will be involved in lifecycle management, scalability improvements, and performance optimization of AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Deployment: Work closely with Data Scientists to deploy optimized models into production, adhering to best practices in security, scalability, and reliability.
• Data Pipeline Management: Design and implement automated, efficient data pipelines to enable continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
• Environment Setup: Support project teams by managing dependencies, configuring environments, and integrating tooling for code quality, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Data Flow Design: Build and maintain seamless data flows between sources such as Cloud Storage solutions, SQL databases, and other platforms to support AI-driven applications.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle of AI applications, including performance monitoring, updates, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Kubernetes Orchestration: Utilize Kubernetes to manage the deployment of containerized components, ensuring efficient resource usage and system reliability.
• Incident Management: Respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, communicate updates to stakeholders, and conduct root-cause analyses and post-mortems.
• Innovation and Optimization: Investigate and implement innovative solutions to improve AI capabilities and streamline model integration.

Requirements

Education

• Solid knowledge in Programming, System Engineering, or DevOps is highly valued.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Git version control.
• Proven expertise in MLOps/DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of software testing practices and Linux operating systems.
• Nice to have: Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, MLflow, and Helm charts.

Language Proficiency
